Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced that the upcoming Kurban Bairam (Feast of Sacrifice) public holiday would be observed on Friday, November 27, 2009.
The communique of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy goes on to point out that, as per the specifications of the Bill on Amending the Law on State Holidays (08-Feb-2007), and contrary to the recent End of Ramadan public holiday, on September 20, 2009, this public holiday's official status is reserved for followers of the Muslim faith only.
