The govenment of Malaysian has published its official list of national and state public holidays for the year 2010.
Two points of note, both concerning state public holidays.
The public holiday related to the birthday of the Yang Dipertua of Negeri Sarawak will be moved from mid-September to late-October, to avoid celebrations during the month of Ramadan, as was done this year (04-Sep-2009).
On the other hand, the July 7th state public holiday announced last summer (07-Jul-2009) by Penang State Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng, to celebrate Penang’s status as a UNESCO World Heritage site, does not appear on the list of official state public holidays in 2010.
