Malta Bankers’ Association has announced that Saturday, December 26, 2009, and Saturday, January 2, 2010, had been declared bank holidays and that, as such, all commercial banks would be closed for business on both those days.
On December 24 and 31, most commercial banks in Malta will close either at 13:00 or 14:00.
This announcement, similar to that of last year (20-Dec-2008) is a marked departure from changes made by the government since 2001 (17-Dec-2001).
