Nauru's President, Marcus Stephen, has declared tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st, 2009, a national public holiday, to celebrate the launch of Digicel's GSM mobile telecommunications network, the first in Nauru.
In related (non-) news, no announcement has been made as of Monday night, concerning a possible public holiday on the occasion of tomorrow's presidential election in Vanuatu (28-Aug-2009).
