Pakistan Changes July Bank Holiday

The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that the previously scheduled July 2 bank holiday had been moved to Wednesday, July 1st, 2009.

As such, the State Bank of Pakistan and all offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation, inclusive of Public Debt Offices, will remain closed.

Recall that as per Pakistan Ministry of the Interior's Circular No.2/9/2008, "Public and Optional Holidays for the Year 2009", this year's annual July bank holiday was scheduled for Thursday, July 2, 2009 (31-Dec-2008).
