The President of the Republic of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, at a recent Cabinet meeting, clarified the status of the upcoming, June 23, Public Service Day.
As per the official Cabinet meeting minutes of June 19, Public Service Day, annually observed on June 23, is a day to be marked, but not as a public holiday.
This follows a similar announcement by Zambia (14-Jun-2009).
