Sudan's Cabinet State Minister, Kamal Abdel-Latif, has announced that the upcoming End of Ramadan public sector holidays would begin on Sunday, September 20, 2009.
As per a directive of Sudan's cabinet secretariat, the upcoming Eid public holidays will last 3 days, with Wednesday, September 23, being the first normal working day.
However, as the new (09-Jan-2008) weekends in Sudan are Fridays and Saturdays, this means that the End of Ramadan public holidays will effectively last 5 days; from Friday, September 18, to Tuesday, September 22, 2009, inclusively.
