Swaziland's Education Minister, Wilson Ntshangase, has indicated in a recent announcement that the upcoming reed dance would be staged at the end of August.
The reference to the, as of yet unconfirmed, date for the upcoming Umhlanga (reed dance) and related public holiday, is in line with last month's statement by Swaziland's Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Macford Sibandze, who had announced the date of Monday, August 31, 2009 (29-Jul-2009).
Minister Ntshangase was speaking to Standard Five, Form Three and Form Five pupils, encouraging them to participate in the upcoming reed dance.
