At a regular meeting of Turkmenistan's Cabinet of Ministers, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree declaring Monday, September 21, 2009, as the non-working day off public holiday for the upcoming Oraza Bayramy (End of Ramadan).
Once again Turkmenistan has declared its Oraza Bayramy (End of Ramadan) public holiday one day later than originally announced, and than most of its neighbors (30-Sep-2008 and 12-Oct-2007).
Oraza Bayramy (or the End of Ramadan) has been a non-working day off public holiday in Turkmenistan ever since the Decree No 2432 "On Id al-Fitr holiday" dated 14 January 1998 (12-Jan-1998).
