The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), in coordination with all financial markets, has announced that UAE financial markets will close to mark the Eid-Al-Fitr holiday starting from Saturday, 29th of Ramadan (September 19, 2009) until the 3rd day of Shawwal.

In a separate earlier announcement, NASDAQ Dubai had announced on its website that it would be closed from Sunday, September 20, until Wednesday, September 23, 2009, and that it would re-open for normal business on Thursday, September 24, 2009.

The DFM and ADX will be closed on September 20, 21 and 22, 2009.

The private and public sector holidays for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr (End of Ramadan) holidays were announced earlier this week (15-Sep-2009).
