The Board of Directors of the UAE's Central Bank has released a circular announcing their decision to extend the upcoming Eid al-Adha and National Day banks holidays by one day each.
The addition of 2 bank holidays, on Sunday, November 29, and on Thursday, December 3, 2009, means that UAE banks will close during Eid Al Adha for four consecutive days (November 26-29) and for a 2-day National Day bank holiday (December 2-3).
Banks will thus be closed for 2 days more than the private sector's recently announced public holidays (19-Nov-2009), but much less than the public sector holidays announced for the entire period from November 26 to December 3, 2009.
