The government of Uganda has announced that the upcoming Eid al-Adha public holiday would be observed on Friday, November 27, 2009.
This follows last night's announcement by the Director of the Sharia of the Ugandan Muslim Supreme Council, Sheik Hussein Rajab Kakooza.
This date follows the Saudi Umm al-Qura calendar, as opposed to last year's announcement (06-Dec-2008), which was made for a day earlier than most other countries.
