The Zimbabwe Congress of the Trade Unions (ZCTU) has renewed its call to have June 6, the anniversary of the Kamandama Mine Disaster in Hwange where more than 400 mine workers died in 1972, be declared an official non-working public holiday.
The call was made on Wednesday, on the occasion of the ZCTU march in Bulawayo, commemorating the World Day for Decent Work.
