Armenia Declares August 16 Public Holiday

(Posted on Friday, August 13, 2010)

Source: Armenian News Agency (ARMENPRESS)

The Armenian government's head of staff, David Sargsyan, has announced that at its session of last night, the Armenian government had decided to declare Monday, August 16, 2010, a one-off non-working public holiday on the occasion of the Day of Commemoration which follows the August 15 Grape Blessing Day.

As was done in similar cases in the past (09-Jul-2010 and 26-Jun-2008), to compensate the aforementioned one-off non-working public holiday, the government of Armenia declared Saturday, August 21, 2010, to be a regular working day.
