Bolivia's vice-minister of labour, Félix Rojas, has announced that neither Friday, December 24, nor Friday, December 31, 2010, would be declared as one-off year-end public holidays in Bolivia.
Vice-minister Rojas was reacting to rumours that Bolivia would follow the example of other Latin American countries that had declared one-off year-end public holidays, such as Ecuador (22-Dec-2010), Honduras (16-Dec-2010), and Argentina (11-Dec-2010).
He did, however, specify that the public sector workday on these 2 aforementioned dates would occur without a noontime break (El 24 y 31 de diciembre habrá horario continuo), from 08:00 to 16:00.
