Timor Leste 2011 Public Holidays Announced

(Posted on Thursday, December 30, 2010)

Source: Press Release Government Of Timor-Leste (Dili)

The government of Timor Leste has announced the list of official public holidays in Timor Leste for the calendar year 2011.

The aforementioned announcement dutifully follows the precepts of law No.10/2005, which overhauled Timor Leste's public holidays (12-Aug-2005) and in addition specifies the dates for the 2 Muslim public holiday in East Timor for 2011.

The announcement does not mention any possible day in lieu public holidays to compensate the fact that Christmas Day 2011 and New Year's Day 2012 will both fall on a weekend again, as were declared earlier this month (22-Dec-2010).
