The Reserve Bank of Fiji (Fiji's Central Bank) has declared Monday, March 15, 2010, a one-off public holiday for all financial institutions in Fiji.
The announcement was made, due to the impending cyclone, and in accordance with the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act which states that in the event of a hurricane, earthquake or other natural disaster, the Reserve Bank can declare a bank holiday for all of the country's financial institutions.
