Iraq Declares 3-Day Electoral Public Holidays

Iraq's President of the Supreme Committee for the Security of Elections, Major General Abdul Qader Aidan, has announced that a 3-day electoral public holiday had been declared from Saturday, March 6, until Monday, March 8, 2010, inclusively.

As such, there will be a night curfew from 2200 to 0500 in the morning on March 6, 7 and 8, and in addition tthe movement of vehicles over 1 ton of cargo will be forbiden on polling day.
