Jordan Declares January 1st Public Holiday

Jordanian Prime Minister, Samir Rifai, has issued an official statement declaring Saturday, January 1st, 2011, as an official non-working public holiday in Jordan on the occasion of the upcoming Western New Year.

The aforementioned announcement follows a similar one, yesterday (22-Dec-2010), which declared Saturday, December 25, 2010, as an official non-working public holiday for the upcoming Christmas Day holiday.
