Kenyan President Kibaki has announced Friday, August 27, 2010, as the date of the promulgation the new constitution, rather than the previously announced date of August 20.
The aforementioned announcement did not comment on the earlier reports by the Kenyan media that, "according to impeccable sources", the date of the upcoming promulgation of the constitution would be declared a one-off public holiday to allow Kenyans to witness the promulgation of the new constitution (08-Aug-2010).
