The Labor Ministry of Kyrgyzstan has announced that the upcoming working day on Monday, August 30, 2010, had been shifted to Saturday, August 28, 2010.
Declaring Monday, August 30, 2010, as a bridge public holiday will create a 3-day weekend in Kyrgyzstan, when combined with the annual, August 31, Independence Day public holiday.
Having an extra bridge non-working public holiday compensated by declaring a weekend day as a regular working day is common in Kyrgyzstan (15-Feb-2010, 11-Dec-2009, 19-Dec-2008 and 27-Dec-2007).
