Mozambique Declares January 14 Public Holiday

Mozambique's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB) has released a press communique announcing that Thursday, January 14, 2010, the date of of Armando Guebuza's inauguration as the President of Mozambique.

Last year, the Labour Ministry had declared Wednesday, October 28, 2009, a one-off electoral public holiday "to allow the maximum number of people to vote" (26-Oct-2009), and the year before, another one-off public holiday had been declared on the occasion of Mozambique's municipal elections (17-Nov-2008).
