Following the death, this morning, of Nepal's former prime minister, Girija Prasad Koirala, the government of Nepal has declared tomorrow, Sunday, March 21, 2010, a public holiday.

Note that, after a brief interval in 2000-2001 when a 2-day weekend was tried (13-Jan-2001), Nepal observes a 1-day weekend on Saturdays, meaning that Sunday is normally a regular working day.
