The Head of Service of Nigeria's Gombe State government, Ibrahim Biri, has announced that the state had declared Tuesday, April 6, 2010, as a one-off non-working state public holiday in honour of two state senators who died last week.
Senator Tawar Wada, (Gombe South District), died in Abuja on March 31 at the age of 53, while Senator Kawu Peto (Gombe North) died on April 2, aged 52.
