Panama's President, Ricardo Martinelli, has issued a decree declaring nationwide public sector holidays on Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31, 2010.
The aforementioned "Decreto Ejecutivo No.964 de 16 de diciembre de 2010", released last night, orders the closing of all public sector offices (ordena el cierre de las instituciones del Gobierno y los municipios) beginning at noontime (a partir del mediodía).
The decree goes on to say that the upcoming Panamanian bank holidays will be as set separately by the "Resolución S.B.P. No.124-006 de 4 de diciembre de 2006".
