The Qatari Council of Ministers has announced Decision No.6 of 2010 which extends the Eid al-Fitr public sector holidays for all the government departments, to range from September 7 to September 18, 2010, inclusively.
The annual Eid al-Fitr public sector holidays had also been extended, 2 years ago (17-Sep-2008), but this was not done last year (18-Sep-2009).
The Cabinet Decision No.6 of 2010 also sets out the Eid al-Adha public sector holidays to run from November 15 to November 18, 2010. As November 19 and 20 fall on the Qatari weekend, it means that government will be back at work on Sunday, November 21, 2010.
