The government of the UAE has announced the dates for the upcoming National Day public holidays and Islamic Hijri New Year public holiday for both the private sector and the public sector.
According to a circular issued today by the UAE Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Government Human Resources Authority, Humaid Al Qattami, the UAE's federal ministries and departments will remain closed from Thursday, December 2, to Sunday, December 5, 2010, to mark the UAE's 39th national day and the new Hijri year 1432.
In another circular issued today by the UAE's Minister of Labour, Saqr Gobash, the private sector get a public holiday on Thursday, December 2, 2010, to mark the UAE's 39th national day, and another public holiday on Saturday, December 4, 2010, on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1432.
For its part, the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority has announced that the UAE capital markets would be closed on Thursday, December 2, and Sunday, December 5, 2010.
