Bahrain's Central Bank has published its list of expected bank and public holidays in Bahrain for the calendar year 2012.
As was the case in past years (02-Jul-2010 and 22-Jun-2009), this published list does not contain the days in lieu that occur when a public holiday falls on one of the weekends days as defined in Bahrain (02-Aug-2006).
The aforementioned list also seems based on the Arithmetic Islamic Calendar rather than the Saudi Umm al-Qura calendar. We therefore expect many of the dates announced for the 2012 Muslim public holidays in Bahrain to be changed at the last minute.
