The President of Cameroon, Paul Biya, has declared Monday, December 26, 2011, as a one-off public holiday in Cameroon to compensate the fact that the 2011 Christmas Day public holiday falls on a Sunday.
The declaration of additional public holidays in Cameroon, in particular around Christmas (22-Dec-2007) has occurred in the past, though not systematically.
