The Administrator of Australia's Indian Ocean Territories, Brian Lacy, has signed Community Bulletin A69/2011 which officially gazettes the bank holidays and public holidays in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands for the calendar year 2012.
As was the case a few years ago (18-Sep-2006), the 2012 Act of Self Determination Day public holiday, normally celebrated on April 6, will occur on the same day as the 2012 Good Friday public holiday, and the aforementioned announcement thus moves it to Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
