The government of Timor Leste has announced the list of official public holidays in Timor Leste for the upcoming calendar year 2012.
As usual (30-Dec-2010), the aforementioned announcement follows the precepts of law No.10/2005, which overhauled Timor Leste's public holidays (12-Aug-2005) and in addition specifies the dates for the 2 Muslim public holiday in East Timor for 2012.
Contrary to what happened last year (22-Dec-2010), no day in lieu public holidays have been declared to compensate the fact that both the Christmas Day 2011 public holiday and the New Yar's Day 2012 public holiday fall on a Sunday.
