Egypt's Central Bank has announced that all Egyptian banks would be closed on Sunday, July 24, 2011, which has been declared a bank holiday in Egypt on account of the upcoming Revolution Day.
The aforementioned declaration of a one-off bank holiday was made, according to the communique of the Central Bank of Egypt, as this year's, annual, July 23, non-working public holiday falls on a Saturday, as was done, though not systematically, in the past (05-Jan-2011).
In a later, separate, communique, the Egyptian Stock Exchange also announced that it would be closed on Sunday, July 24, 2011, on account of the upcoming Revolution Day public holiday.
