Grenada Declares National Colours Holiday

(Posted on Wednesday, August 31, 2011)

Grenada's Prime Minister, Tillman Thomas, has declared a National Colours Day to commemorate Grenada's first ever World Championships medal, yesterday, by Kirani James.

The aforementioned National Colours Day will not be a non-working public holiday in Grenada, but as Kirani James' 19th birthday is tomorrow, there have been many calls on the Government of Grenada to declare Thursday, September 1, 2011, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Grenada.
