Jordanian Prime Minister, Marouf Bakhit, has issued a communique declaring Sunday, May 1st, 2011, as a public holiday for all ministries, government departments and public institutions.
The Jordanian government often (25-Apr-2006), though not systematically (25-Apr-2005), moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend.
