(Posted on Thursday, June 30, 2011)

Source: Electronic government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana)

The deputies of Kazakhstan's Maslikhat have unanimously approved the declaration of Monday and Tuesday, July 4 and 5, 2011, as one-off non-working public holidays throughout Kazakhstan.

These 2 aforementioned non-working public holidays will join up with the annual, Day of the Capital, public holiday, instituted a few years ago (23-Jun-2008).

As is common (02-Mar-2011 and 25-Jun-2010), to compensate non-working public holidays, the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 3, 2011, has exceptionally been declared as regular working days.
