The previously announced list of official Lebanese non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2012 has been amended with the addition of 2 additional public holidays.
As per the aforementioned announcement, the previously announced (30-Nov-2011) list of official Lebanese non-working public holidays, for the calendar year 2012, will be extended with a day in lieu public holiday on Monday, January 2, 2012, and an additional, unexpected public holiday on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.
Based on precedent (01-Nov-2011), we expect these 2 additional bank holidays/public sector holidays to only be observed by banks, the financial sector and the government and public sector.
