Macedonia's Ministry of Labour and Social Policy has announced the list of non-working public holidays in Macedonia for the upcoming month of January 2012.
As per the aforementioned announcement, Monday, January 2, 2012, will be an official national non-working public holiday for all citizens of Macedonia, as will be Saturday, January 7, 2012, on account of the upcoming day of Christmas, according to Orthodox calendar.
For Macedonians citizens of the Orthodox faith, Friday, January 6, 2012, will also be a sectorial non-working public holiday for the Orthodox Christmas Eve, as will Theophany (Epiphany) on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
The above are in line with the Macedonian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy's official list of 2012 public holidays in Macedonia, as published earlier this fall (03-Nov-2011), and, more generally with the Law on Holidays of the Republic of Macedonia (Official Gazette, and br.21/98 7.18) as last amended in 2007 (08-Feb-2007).
