The government of Nepal has declared a 5-day period of public sector holidays from Monday, October 3, until Friday, October 7, 2011, inclusively, on account of the upcoming Dashain festival.
Note that, after a brief interval in 2000-2001 when a 2-day weekend was tried (13-Jan-2001), Nepal observes a 1-day weekend on Saturdays, meaning that Saturday, October 8, 2011, will also be a non-working day in Nepal.
