The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has announced that today, Monday, August 1, 2011, would be the first day of the month of Ramadan in Nigeria.
Usually, in the past, Nigeria followed the Libyan Muslim calendar (14-Sep-2007), but it is unclear what will happen this year with the current civil war raging in Libya.
