The Minister for Community Services for the Australian territory of Norfolk Island, Timothy John Sheridan, has announced the list of 2012 official public holidays in Norfolk Island.
The 2012 public holidays list, published in the Norfolk Island Government Gazette No. 23 in accordance with section 9 of the Employment Act 1988, includes the date of the Norfolk Island Agricultural Show Day public holiday as well as the date of the Queen's Birthday public holiday, as was done for the last 2 years (24-Jul-2010 and 04-Sep-2009), though in other years these public holidays' dates were listed separately (05-Sep-2008).
Note that there is an error in the date of the Queen’s Birthday public holiday listed in the aforementioned Gazette entry. We therefore expect, as was the case last year (19-Aug-2010), that a revised gazetted list of public holidays will be announced before the end of the year.
