Poland Epiphany Public Holiday Challenged In Court

(Posted on Wednesday, January 19, 2011)

The Polish Confederation of Private Employers has decided to challenge the constitutional validity of the recently-reintroduced Epiphany public holiday in front of Poland's Constitutional Tribunal.

Late last year (06-Nov-2010), the same Polish Employers' Federation had appealed to the Polish President, Bronislaw Komorowski, to ask him not to sign into law the recent law (24-Sep-2010) restoring the Epiphany public holiday in Poland, beginning in the calendar year 2011.
