The head of the Islamic community in Rwanda, Mufti Sheikh Abdul Karim Gahutu, has announced that the date of the upcoming Eid el-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holiday in Rwanda would be Tuesday, August 30, 2011.
Recall that as per the recent "Arrete Presidentiel N°06/01 Du 16/02/2011 Determinant Les Jours Feries Officiels" which legislates the list of Rwandan non-working public holidays (07-Mar-2011), the date of the Eid el Fitr shall be announced each year by Rwanda Moslems' Association ("Itariki itangazwa buri mwaka na Rwanda Moslems’ Association").
