The President of President of the National Moon-Sighting Commission of Sénégal (Commission nationale de concertation sur le croissant lunaire - Conacoc), Ahmed Iyan Thiam, has announced that the upcoming Korité (End of Ramadan) public holiday would be tomorrow, Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in Sénégal.
As is often the case (18-Dec-2007), many Senegalese Muslim communities, such as the Jamaatou Ibadou Rahamna, do not follow the recommendations of the CONACOC and instead follow the dates as announced by Saudi Arabia (15-Aug-2011).
