The government of the Seychelles has declared Saturday, October 1st, 2011, as a one-off public holiday on account of the National Assembly Elections (eleksyon pour Lasanble Nasyonal) that will take place on that day.
A public holiday had also been declared in the Seychelles on the date of the previous National Assembly Elections (08-May-2007), and more recently on the date of the recent Presidential elections (19-May-2011).
