Tokelau’s National Public Service manager, Joe Suveinakama, has announced that Tokelau's government had decided to join Samoa's timezone change thus effectively making Friday, December 30, 2011, a non-working day in Tokelau.

Last month (<<5251), the Samoan Ministry of Commerce, Industry And Labour announced that Friday, December 30, 2011, would be expunged (ie. will not exist) in Samoa's calendar as it swittches timezones across the international dateline, in effect jumping from December 29 to December 31, 2011.
