The Palestinian Authority has announced Wednesday, June 29, 2011, as the date of the upcoming public holiday for Prophet Mohammed's Ascent.
The government of the Palestinian Authority usually (09-Feb-2011), but not always (15-Jul-2009), uses the dates of the Saudi Umm al-Qura calendar to determine the date of Muslim public holidays.
In a separate announcement, the Palestine Exchange (PEX) announced that it would be closed on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, on the occasion of the Ascent of the Prophet Day.
