The Labour Commission of Argentina's lower house (Cámara de Diputados) has moved to the full house a bill that would declare June 27 as a new annual non-working public holiday for Argentina's public sector employees.

Senate has approved the bill, recently approved by the lower house, to declare a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, September 24, 2012, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the battle of Tucumán.

This new public holidays bill comes on the heels of the recent passage (06-Sep-2012) by Argentina's Senate of a bill declaring a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, September 24, 2012, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the battle of Tucumán.
