The Armenian Government has announced that it had declared Monday, September 17, 2012, as another, one-off, non-working public holiday in Armenia on account of the upcoming Exhaltation of the Cross feast.
Four years ago (26-Jun-2008), the Armenian Government began the practice of systematically declaring public holidays for each of the "Commemoration Days of All the Departed" feasts of the lord of Armenian Apostolic Church (01-Apr-2010, 09-Jul-2010, 13-Aug-2010, and 10-Sep-2010).
As was done in similar cases (06-Jul-2012, 23-Jun-2012, 18-Apr-2012, 06-Apr-2012, and 02-Mar-2012), the aforementioned non-working public holiday of Monday, July 16, 2012, will be compensated by Saturday, September 29, 2012, being declared a regular working day in Armenia.
