The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has announced that it would remain closed for 11 consecutive days, beginning on August 15 on account of the upcoming series of national and religious public holidays.
The aforementioned decision was made in view of the 2012 coincidence (01-Jan-2012) of multiple unrelated holidays; National Mourning Day (10-Aug-2008), Sri Krishna Janamashtami, as well as the Ramadan related public holidays of Shab-e-Qadar, Jumatul Bidah, and the extended Eid-ul-Fiter public holidays.
