China 2012 Ramadan Public Holidays

The Chinese provinces of Qinghai and Xinjiang have declared a 3-day regional public holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan).

As per the aforementioned announcements, the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) will be observed by a 3-day period of public holidays from Sunday, August 19, to Tuesday, August 21, 2012. In addition, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has also declared 3 days of public holidays for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan).

The declaration of regional public holidays (26-Mar-2009) and 20-Aug-2010) and municipal public holidays (22-Jul-2011, 29-Sep-2010, 20-Aug-2010, 02-Apr-2010, and 06-Aug-2008) is a relatively recent trend in China.
